Re: Reiki
Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen (hawn shaw say show nen) is the distance function mantra used to connect you to the Reiki energy for absentee healings.  HSZSN is also used for treating issues from the past including past life issues, and it is said that it can bridge time and space, allowing you to send healing energy across the room or around the world or to heal past wounds.  It cn be used in hands on healing also, and is said to be helpful in releasing karma.  HSZSN can be used when hands on healing may not be possible or appropriate - for example, a burn patient or a wild animal.  One possible meaning of the symbol, (there are many), is thought to be "no past, no present, no future."  There is only the now, the present moment with distance healing.

Hon - Spirit, Source, Origin, Universe
Sha - Mind, Surviving
Ze - Space, Be, Being
Sho - Feeling, Emotions
Nen - Conciousness, Body, Attention

Re: Reiki
The Usui Master symbol, Dai Ko Myo is taught and given in the Master Level.  This is the last symbol Usui used in attunements.  Like it’s Tibetan sister, it heals the spiritual state of the recipient and connects the individual with his/her greatest potential.  It means Great Being of the Universe Shine on Me
(die ko me oh)

There are other uses for Dai Ko Myo, however.  It may be used to heal the soul, because Dai Ko Myo deals with the soul and our spiritual self, it can heal disease and illness from the original source in the aura.  Dai Ko Myo brings enlightenment and peace, and allows you to become more intuitive, and psychic.  With practice, over time Dai Ko Myo will bring profound life changes.

Re: Reiki

This Symbol is pronounced "ra-koo" which is mainly used at the end of attunments, take a deep breath and hold it in, move around the back of the receiver then draw the RAKU from their head, down along the spine and down to the ground, simultaneously releasing the breath. Inform the receiver that the process is complete and that they should sit still for a few minutes before arising. It is involved in grounding the receiver, it may also be used at the end of a healing session or at other times when additional grounding is needed. Remember intent is everything! Let the energy flow.
