Module Settings (Page Settings)
Modified By SuperUser Account on 11/9/2008 5:47:27 PM)

An image can optionally be displayed on a module where the skin applied includes the [ICON] skin object. The default container skin displays the icon to the left of the module title. Icon images are uploaded to the Admin > File Manager.

Under File Location select the directory where the Icon is located, then Select the file at File Name. Optionally you  can upload an Icon using Upload New File.

Alignment can be set so that if the Pane is wider than the Module it will aligned toa certain side. Content within the Module is not affected by this control.

Some Modules allow you to set their background color using either Standard Color Names or Hexidecimal notation.

Border is for setting the Border width on a module (when no Container is applied). Number is in pixels.

Visibility controls the Window State of the Container. A setting of None is maximized without a control icon.

Display Container allows you to turn off the visibility of the container applied to this module (along with the Module Title).

Allow Print (if checked) displays a tiny Printer Icon next to any Module so that it can be copied to a new browser page for printer-friendly printing.

Allow Syndication displays a Syndication Icon that allows all users to download an XML Syndication link for the content of the Module.

A Module Container can be selected that wraps the content of the module in a graphic box. This can be Previewed without applying permanently.

Cache Time sets the period before the cache in DNN refreshes. E.g. Entering 60 will mean that every 60 seconds DNN will refresh module content from the database. Set to a low number like 0 where module content changes frequently or set it to a higher number like 1000 if the content does not change all that often and you would like better performance out of your portal.

Click on any of the little (?) Icons for a short help reminder.
