How to Make a Custom Page

How to Build a Custom Page

Open the Control Panel (Click the little double-down arrow at the top right corner of your browser-window)

Under Page-Functions click [Add] You are now In Page Management.

Fill in Page-Name, Page-Title and the Description Field (optional)

At Parent Page, Select which existing page this page should be under.

You will find that your page will have the same permissions as the parent page. You may change these if needed by clicking the boxes in the Permissions Table. You may also add a Username that has permission.

We have decided to leave the group viewable by anyone, but only registered users can post or reply to posts.

Check to make sure [Include in Menu] is checked

Click update at bottom of page.

Click [Edit] in the Mode menu of Control Panel

You will now see the 5 Panes where Modules can be placed. Everything is accomplished through the use of Modules. The one you will be using mostly is named "Text/HTML"

In Control Panel, in the Module Drop-down box, select "Text/HTML"

Type in a Title for your Module. Visibility should be "Same as Page"

Select a Pane where you want the Module placed, Choose Top or Bottom and Left/Right/Center

Click [add]... Your Module appears inside that Pane complete with a prompt to "Edit Text"

Click it to Start the Editor.

The Editor has so many functions, fonts, sizes, and colors, that you might feel a little bit lost, but hold you cursor over each Icon and wait for the description to Pop-up. It will get easier.

When you are done editing the content of the "Text/HTML" Module, scroll down and click 'Update"

In the Control Panel, click [View] to see your page as a User would see it.

Congratulations, you are done!
